About EREIA

Edmonton's real estate community since 1985.

EREIA has been bringing Edmonton's real estate investors together for four decades — through booms, busts, rate shocks and every policy change in between. Members range from people who have not yet bought their first property to those managing hundreds of doors across Alberta.

We are not a course, a coaching program, or a pitch. We are a room full of people who own property in this city and are willing to tell you what it actually cost them.

Questions

Before your first meeting

I've never bought an investment property. Will I be out of place?
No. A good share of the room is pre-first-deal, and the members who have been coming for twenty years remember exactly what that felt like. Come, listen, ask questions — people are happy to explain what they are working on.
Do I have to be a member to attend?
No. Anyone can attend any meeting for $25 at the door, paid by cash, debit or credit. Membership is optional and just makes regular attendance cheaper.
Is this going to be a sales pitch for a course?
No. EREIA is a non-profit association, not a coaching business. Speakers are working investors and industry professionals sharing what they actually do. Promotion has its own slot: Deals & Steals at 9:00, where everyone gets 30 seconds if they want it — to promote themselves, share a deal, or tell the room what they are looking for.
What actually happens at a meeting?
Networking, food and refreshments from 6:30 pm. The program starts at 7:00 with the Action Takers Spotlight, a news and economics update, an Edmonton market update and a mortgage update. Guest speaker at 8:00. Then Deals & Steals at 9:00, where anyone can put a deal or service in front of the room. Most people stay talking well past the end.
Where do I park?
There is lots of free parking on site at the ATB Entrepreneur Centre, 4234 Calgary Trail NW.
Can I present or sponsor a meeting?
Yes — we're always looking for speakers with practical Edmonton experience and for sponsors who serve investors. Email events@ereia.ca with a short outline.
